Matt Budziosz: 1990 Nissan 300ZX TT

Matt Budziosz first laid eyes on a Z32 at the age of five. It was that moment he fell into to the JDM scene and knew he’d one day own a Z Series.

“It was unlike anything else on the road when it first launched in North America,” Budziosz recalls, “the styling and the sound made me instantly fall in love with this great piece of machinery.”

Fast forward 20 years, Budziosz is in a position to make the purchase and manages to track down a factory original with only one previous owner. Wanting to stand out from the crowd, Budziosz decided the 1990 Nissan 300ZX TT was a perfect fit.

“The Z32 is often considered an underdog compared to the JDM vehicles of its era, such as the MKIV Supra, FD3 RX7 [and] R32 Skyline,” he says. “I wanted to choose a less popular car so it stands out amongst the crowd”

“Even in its factory original form, the car gathers some attention from passersby but driving a stock car is not enough for me. I took this car and did what I felt was an expression of my vision[…] and brought the car to higher levels of performance.”While keeping the factory engine intact, Budziosz has boasted performance with a twin turbo, countless parts from AMS Motorsports, an NIStune ECU and a HKS Type-1 turbo timer. Budziosz hopes to gain even more power as modifications continue.
